  6. EIT has made a number of observations of large-scale transient waves, also called 'Coronal Moreton Waves'. These 
  7. events are usually recorded in the 195 ≈ bandpass, during high-cadence (<20 minutes) observations. These events are 
  8. stunning in that they usually affect most of the visible solar disk. They generally propagate at speeds of 200-500 
  9. km/sec, traversing a solar diameter in less than an hour.
